Students wishing to study Maths at Durham are required to take the Test for Mathematical Aptitude (TMUA). Also whilst this is not compulsory, Warwick, Bristol and Bath encourage candidates to take TMUA and indicate that they will take results into account when making offers.

Cambridge also require applicants for Computer Science to take the test (CTMUA) to replace the previously used Computer Science Aptitude Test (CSAT).

Like all such tests, practice, along with expert tuition will help students to become familiar with the style and pattern of questions that are set.
